What if I have questions for the board and I want to hear their answers?
School board meetings follow an agenda. The public comment period is an opportunity for the board to listen to citizen comments, but not to debate issues or enter into a question-and-answer session between the public and school board members. As with other government bodies, the public does not participate in decision-making. Instead, it provides input to the elected school board members, who take the input into consideration in making their decisions. You can email board members.
