As a board member, Nick is focused on restoring and investing in the district's core academic and enrichment programs, including arts, debate, and athletics. He believes that by fostering student motivation and passion through these programs, the district can achieve substantial improvements in school safety, reduce chronic absenteeism, and enhance academic performance. This focus guides his commitment to the implementation of the new California High School graduation requirement for financial literacy, the expansion of high-demand language immersion programs, differentiated instruction for asynchronous gifted learners, and the integration of education programs for students with disabilities across special education and general education settings.  

Nick is a business owner who works with entrepreneurs and small business owners, providing business strategy services. His professional development includes certification as a Working Genius Facilitator (The Table Group) and certificates in Enterprise Security Risk Management and Risk Assessment from ASIS International. He is a member of the Strategic Management Society.

Nick earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the University of San Francisco and an MBA from Sonoma State University. In the community, Nick volunteers as a coach and umpire for his sons' baseball league. He is a graduate of Leadership Santa Rosa Class 34 and the Leadership Institute for Ecology and the Economy Class of 2005.
