Charter School Lottery Information

The Charter School Lottery Application window for the 2027-28 school year opens on Thursday, October 1, at 8:00 am and closes on Friday, November 13 at 5:00 pm. 

This year's Lottery Draw will take place on Thursday, December 17 and is open to the public. Times and location to follow.


School sites will contact families to let them know if they are holding a spot for their student or if they will be placed on a waiting list.

Times:
10:00 am - SR Accelerated Charter School

10:45 am -  CCLA

11:45 am -  SR Charter School for the Arts

12:45 pm -  SR French American Charter School

What do I need to do to apply to a charter school?

Complete the Charter School Lottery Application for the school of your choice:

If you live within our school district, you must be registered in your SRCS school of residence for the next school year (2027-28) before the lottery. You can find out by typing your address in the School Locator.

Do you live within the Santa Rosa City Schools district boundaries?  If yes, you will follow steps 1 or 2.

1. Does the student who is applying for the lottery currently attend a Santa Rosa City Schools school? If yes, no further action.

2. If the student who is applying for the lottery currently does not attend a Santa Rosa City Schools school, you will need to pre-enroll your child at their school of residence while you wait for the lottery results. Please CLICK HERE to complete the online registration for the next school year.

If you do NOT live within our school district, you will be contacted to register if your student is chosen to attend the charter school during the lottery.
