Meet Our Superintendent
Dr. Daisy Morales
Dr. Daisy Morales is the new Superintendent of Santa Rosa City Schools. With a deep passion for education and a genuine dedication to community, she believes in building trust, fostering collaboration, and providing clear, transparent communication to transform the climate and culture of educational organizations. Her approach is rooted in the belief that by building capacity, coaching others, and encouraging people to leverage their strengths, we can develop and grow leadership potential at every level.
Previously, Dr. Morales served as the Superintendent of Live Oak Elementary School District. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish with a minor in Business Administration, and a Master’s Degree in Education with a focus on Curriculum and Instruction from San Jose State University. She also earned her Multi-Subject BCLAD Credential and a Doctoral Degree in Organizational Leadership from UMass Global (previously Brandman University), focusing on engaging human resources in change processes to achieve transformational educational reform.
Dr. Morales has a rich background in teaching, having taught a second/third combo class, fifth grade, seventh grade history, and various levels of high school Spanish. As an administrator, she has held numerous roles, including Curriculum and Accreditation Coordinator, English Language Development Coordinator, Vice-Principal, Principal, and Director of English Language Learner Services and Migrant Education.
She is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Association of California Superintendents and Administrators (ACSA), California Association of Latino Superintendents and Administrators (CALSA), The School Superintendents Association (AASA), and California School Public Relations Association (CalSPRA). Dr. Morales has also been involved in the CALSA mentorship program as both a protégé and a mentor. She participates in national organizations such as the Association of Latino Administrators and Superintendents (ALAS), where she graduated from their Superintendent Leadership Academy, and the ACSA Aspiring and New Superintendent Academy.
Dr. Morales is excited to make Santa Rosa her new home. She cherishes her family, including her two grown children and a granddaughter.
