Santa Rosa City Schools is on the traditional territory and homelands of the Pomo People, traditional territory and homelands of the Coast Miwok People, and we honor with gratitude the land itself and the people who have stewarded it throughout the generations.
This land acknowledgement calls us to commit to continuing to learn how to be better stewards of the land we inhabit. By offering this Land Acknowledgement, we affirm Indigenous sovereignty and will work to hold Santa Rosa City schools more accountable to the needs of American Indian and Indigenous peoples.

Santa Rosa City Schools was founded in 1858 with 50 students. Today, we welcome nearly 16,000 students to our 24 schools, including nine elementary schools, five middle schools, five high schools, and one continuation high school.
