What is a Community School?
A Community School is any school serving pre-Kindergarten through high school students using a “whole-child” approach with an integrated focus on academics, health and social services, youth and community development, and community engagement. Community Schools leverage community partnerships and resources to transform our campuses into a thriving hub of support and opportunity for students, families and community members. This equity-driven and assets-building framework equips schools to tap into the unique strengths of every student, teacher, staff, and family while breaking down barriers to student success.
