NCSOE Induction Candidate Information

                                                         Early Completion Option Policy Information

Santa Rosa City Schools partners with both the North Coast School of Education (NCSOE) and Sonoma State University to provide teacher induction programs. All other inductees are required to enroll in the North Coast Teacher Induction Program (NCTIP). This is a two-year, state-accredited program designed to bridge the gap between the theory, knowledge, and skills gained in the Preliminary Credential Program and the practical experience of teaching in the classroom.

Throughout the program, candidates collaborate with a Mentor Teacher for personalized support and with NCTIP staff to develop effective strategies and innovative teaching methods suitable for various 21st-century educational settings. Successful completion of the induction program leads to a California Clear Credential.

Teachers with a preliminary credential in the following areas will participate in the induction program:

  • Single Subject

  • Multiple Subject

  • Designated Subjects/Career Technical Education (CTE)

  • Education Specialist
