Fingerprinting at SRCS
New Employee Fingerprinting
Law requires that school districts obtain Department of Justice fingerprint clearance for all new SRCS employees. SRCS operates a Live Scan Fingerprinting machine. This machine scans fingerprints and sends them electronically to the Department of Justice.
How to Get Fingerprints
1. Obtain your Live Scan Form:

Community/ Parent Volunteers, Consultants/Contractors, and Student Teachers:
1. Forms will be provided through the Be A Mentor Website
2. Click here fingerprinting@srcs.k12.ca.us to schedule a fingerprinting appointment.
What to bring to your appointment:
Completed Fingerprint form and valid ID
Valid forms of Identification:
State Issued ID or Driver’s License. Must have a current driver's license/ StateID. Expired identifications will not be accepted. (Further Inquiries regarding acceptable Identification please reach out to the Fingerprint technician)
Who can be fingerprinted at SRCS?
Only new SRCS employees, guest teachers, classified substitutes, paid coaches, volunteer coaches, volunteers consultants/contractors and student teachers will be fingerprinted by our fingerprint technician. You must schedule an appointment. We do not provide fingerprints for other agencies or walk-ins.
Fees Associated:
There is no charge to our employees, guest teachers, classified substitutes, coaches or volunteers for Fingerprinting at this location (SRCS District Office).
If you decide to go to another fingerprint location you will be responsible for any fees charged.
Fingerprint Result Timelines:
The Department of Justice does not provide agencies a quoted time on when results are available nor an explanation in the event fingerprints are delayed. The DOJ will share fingerprint results to requesting agencies once the background check has been completed.
