New District Copiers & Secure PIN Access
The district is rolling out a new fleet of copiers designed to improve reliability, reduce unnecessary printing costs, and better manage shared resources across the district.
As part of this update, copier access is now secured using a unique 6-digit PIN.
Beginning Monday, March 2, 2026, all district copiers will use the updated interface and require a PIN to copy, print, or scan.
What’s Changing
-
Copying, printing, and scanning now require a 6-digit PIN
-
Each staff member has their own unique PIN
-
Print from ANYWHERE and pick up print jobs at ANY district copier using the PIN.
-
This applies to all district copiers
-
PINs are accessed through the
Kyocera Cloud Print and Scan portal (Sign in with Google)
Why This Change Is Happening
The new copiers are part of a new lease that significantly reduces district costs. This update also supports the district's effort to:
-
Protect confidential and sensitive print jobs by ensuring documents are only released to the intended user
-
Reduce unnecessary and abandoned print jobs
-
Lower district-wide printing costs
-
Improve access and reliability for everyone
-
Redirect savings back to instructional and student-focused needs
This is about cost stewardship and efficiency, not added complexity.
Color Printing/Copying
Color printing is not restricted; however, please be advised that color is more expensive than black-and-white. We appreciate your thoughtful consideration when deciding whether color is necessary. If you choose to print in color, please keep the quantity in mind. For a smaller number of copies, you can consider the use of your site copier. For significant color print jobs, please submit your request to the Duplicating Department.
Default Always Black & White
Printing and copying will always default to black-and-white. This is not intended to restrict access, but rather to help manage the costs associated with color printing and copying. If you change the copier settings to color, please remember to switch the copier back to black-and-white when you are finished, especially before printing your next project that does not require color.
