Some Santa Rosa City Schools' sites have preschool programs run by either North Bay Children's Center or by Head Start. Families who meet state and federal income eligibility guidelines may receive tuition assistance or scholarships.

• At James Monroe Elementary, NBCC offers a part-day/ part-year serving 24 children in the AM program from 8-11 and 24 children in the PM program from 12-3.
• At Steele Lane Elementary - NBCC, Steele Lane offers a full day/full year program serving 24 children from 7:30-4:30.
