    • Increase student wellness and family engagement through the full service community school model.
    • Serve all students with fair, just and equitable distribution of resources: personnel, financial, and instructional.
    • Create safe, inviting learning environments and provide relevant, current and fully supported technologies.
Through a district culture intentionally built on trust, respect, collaboration, and the assumption of best intentions.

    SRCS vision and strategic planning

During the 2012-13 school year, the SRCS Board and the superintendent began a dialog around a strategic planning process. The Board worked diligently with the Superintendent and various experts who helped design an inclusive process to lead the work in SRCS.  While this Strategic Planning work was underway, the California Legislature passed the Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) providing more control to local school districts. This actually supported the work we had already begun.  While many districts in California needed to find a method to include staff and community, the SRCS Board had already begun to do that through the Strategic Planning process. The information gathered through the Strategic Planning process helped fulfill the requirements of the LCFF.
We invite you to participate and provide your input as students, teachers, staff, parents and community members of SRCS.  As a Board, we are committed to hearing your voice and developing a plan that will promote excellence, equity and engagement for all of our students.
